چکیده

This paper promotes an ontology-based multi agent system (MAS) framework to facilitate Peer-to-Peer (P2P) service selection with multiple service properties. P2P-based service has emerged as an important new field in the distributed computing arena. It focuses on intensive service sharing, innovative applications and compositions, and, in some cases, high performance orientation. However, one of the remaining challenges for the P2P-based service composition process is how to effectively discover and select the most appropriate peers to execute the service applications when considering multiple properties of the requested services. By introducing an ontology, different ontology-based e-service profiles can be proposed to facilitate handling multiple properties and to enhance the service oriented process in order to achieve the total or partial automation of service discovery, selection and composition. In this paper, we present a conceptual framework for peer selection with a preliminary mathematical model and a selection process, so as to enhance the P2Pbased service coordination system and itscomponents.

Mining e-services in P2P-based workflow enactments

This paper aims to explore the feasible mining and proper selection of QoS-aware services for a P2P-based business process enactment framework, and enhance the relevant workflow prototype. Through observing and analysing unpredictable dynamic changes which commonly exist in e-service workflow, we propose a set of QoS specifications and monitoring mechanisms in a P2P workflow framework. These sp...

QoS-Based web service composition based on genetic algorithm

Quality of service (QoS) is an important issue in the design and management of web service composition. QoS in web services consists of various non-functional factors, such as execution cost, execution time, availability, successful execution rate, and security. In recent years, the number of available web services has proliferated, and then offered the same services increasingly. The same web ...

Adapting BPEL4WS for the Semantic Web: The Bottom-Up Approach to Web Service Interoperation

Towards the ultimate goal of seamless interaction among networked programs and devices, industry has developed orchestration and process modeling languages such as XLANG, WSFL, and recently BPEL4WS. Unfortunately, these efforts leave us a long way from seamless interoperation. Researchers in the Semantic Web community have taken up this challenge proposing top-down approaches to achieve aspects...

Automatic Web Service Selection Using Ontology and Quality of Service

We develop a framework for integrating bioinformatics tools based on Semantic Web technology. Specifications of abstract workflows are expressed in Business Process Execution Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS). A problem-solving agent is responsible for automatic analyzing and discovering the web services in the abstract workflows, and selecting among them in order to optimize the quality of s...

Towards A Meta-Model for Service Properties

Service Oriented Computing offers a promising approach for global businesses and integrated, virtual enterprises that achieve common business goals. For realizing an exhaustive Service Oriented Architecture, some basic research is still necessary and a consensus has to be reached about key aspects. We argue that one key aspect is a common (meta-) model of enriched service descriptions, especial...
